My name is Carole Vaughan and I am a single parent of a 13 year old boy.  After working in the Corporate IT industry for nearly 30 years, I decided to change my career and bought my own business.  There was one slight hitch – I needed to sell my house to release the capital to put into the business.  Another hitch – the townhouse I owned was 20 years old and hadn’t seen a drop of paint since the day it was built!  Everything was a shade of pink – ceilings, walls, bathrooms, carpet and kitchen – all various shades of pink.  The house needed updating – and fast!

Now, I’m pretty good at DIY and enjoy doing it, however, this house had some very high ceilings that I wasn’t willing to tackle – for safety reasons, so I needed to find someone who would do just enough so that I could continue on my own and keep the costs down.

I went about getting a number of quotes as one does – using the Master Painters website as a starting point.  I came across Wall Treats and liked how they described themselves on the website.

Wouldn’t you like it if everyone turned up at the time they said they would and treated your home the way you would?  At Wall Treats we promise you a stress-free, enjoyable painting experience.  We will treat you professionally from beginning to end.

That was enough to add them to my list of quotes.  The day after I contacted Wall Treats and spoke with Ashley, I received a very professional package of reference material.  I was very impressed – they had the job before they had even quoted!

Ashley and Daniel came to visit the house, on time, as arranged to discuss my requirements and measure up.  They were very interested in doing just enough to help me with the difficult bits, but didn’t oversell or belittle my abilities.  Daniel in particular was putting himself in my position and thinking about what I could physically do, heightwise, with my stepladders and what he would need to do.

When the quotes came in, not only was the quote from Wall Treats the best presented and the most detailed, they came in with the best price too.  Daniel was able to start within a few days and we were away.

In all the days that Daniel worked with me, he was extremely diligent – I used to feel guilty about taking breaks but Daniel would just work through with a short break for lunch.  He was very well mannered, didn’t try to tell me what to do but was willing to impart tips and knowledge when I needed it.  He went to great lengths to ensure I had the right equipment and materials to do my part of the job.

There was a mix up with the bathroom paint which I didn’t discover until after Daniel had finished his part of the job but a phone call to Ashley soon had it all sorted out – and a bottle of wine for my inconvenience!

After three weeks of solid painting, I was running out of time to get my house on the market and went back to Wall Treats to see if Daniel was available to assist with painting all the window surrounds.  Again, they bent over backwards to assist and Daniel was back within four days and completed the work in two days.

All in all, I highly recommend Wall Treats, Ashley and Daniel to any prospective client.  Their approach is extremely professional and their desire to work in with clients is admirable.  I have no hesitation in calling on them in the future.  It has been a very pleasant, satisfying experience.  Thank you, Wall Treats – Ashley and Daniel.
