Wall Treats, Master Painters

How misplaced trust can lead to headaches and heartaches.

It is impossible for you to constantly supervise the painters whilst they are in your home.  How do you feel about this painter being in your house when you are not there?  Do you believe the painter will do as he says or is he paying lip service?

Preparation is the key to a good paint finish.  This means an appropriate amount of sanding, filling and using the right products.

Most paint companies will recommend using the same brand of products from undercoats to topcoats.  No paint company will stand by the application or use of its products if different brands of products are used on the same surface.

Whilst the key ingredients that go into manufacturing paint are generally the same, there are some differences.  Chemical reactions between different brands may compromise the quality of the product.

It is also important to use the right product on a surface and apply the appropriate number of topcoats.

What if the painter used incorrect products and did not undertake the appropriate extent of preparation work?  The opportunity cost to you would be significant.  It means re-doing the work and following up with the incumbent painter.
