How our clients benefit from our high standards

Providing our clients with a prompt and efficient service for their exterior and interior painting projects is a point of pride for us at Wall Treats. As award winning Auckland Master Painters, we believe making the process as smooth and hassle free as possible is as important as the excellent finish our painters consistently deliver. Feedback from our clients shows time and again that they appreciate this immensely.
We strive to continually improve the service we provide. As such, we have added to our offering by building relationships with a trusted band of skilled tradespeople we can call into our projects as required, including builders and plumbers.
The value this offers to our clients was apparent on a recent interior painting project in Westmere
Our client is based in Europe, and we painted the exterior of his home about five years ago. Earlier this year, he asked us to provide a quote for interior painting before he found new tenants.
During the site measure we noted the skirting boards in the ensuite were unusually damp. We brought this to the property manager’s attention and were assured it would be resolved before the painting commenced.
When we arrived to begin the project the skirting boards were still damp. The property manager said two separate tradespeople had advised that there was no problem and it was solely an aesthetic issue. While this might be good enough for some painters, it wasn’t for us. The boards were soft to touch, so instead of starting preparation work we asked our builder to assess the situation.
It turned out a leak in the shower had caused the shower wall and attached skirting board to rot. It was a health and safety disaster waiting to happen. If the problem hadn’t been identified before new tenants moved in, it would have cost our client lost income.
With the surge in trades activity following the level four lockdown in March 2020, there is a dire pool of good tradespeople available at the drop of a hat. However, because of our connections we were able to bring in our trusted associates.
Rebuilding and retiling the ensuite and the full interior repainting of the 200 m2 bungalow took just under five weeks - no mean feat with the myriad of trades involved; builder, plumber, electrician, tiler and painter. By the end of week four, the property manager already had several potential tenants lined up.
The property manager praised Wall Treats going above and beyond the scope of work, alleviating stress and anxiety to her customers by taking charge of the project (especially as they were based overseas), and our ability to add value by being able to pull in trusted tradespeople at such short notice.
COVID-19 continues to rage around the world, and New Zealand is still one of the safest countries to live in. This has led to many long term expatriates considering returning home. If they have been renting out their property, they may well want it spruced up before they arrive. We can help. With your written consent, we can work in or on your home at Levels 2 and 3.
