About
Award Winning Auckland Master Painters.
When the home is high value - heritage, architectural, or simply loved - the risk isn’t colour. And process. It’s preparation. It’s whether the finish still looks right in two years, not two weeks. We believe it's all in the detail.
That’s why Wall Treats has been producing beautiful paint finishes in Auckland since 2003. Proudly we're know for delivering work with a calm, precise, professional approach: clear scopes, proactive communication, careful protection of your home, and precise execution under natural light.
For added peace of mind, Wall Treats are house painting specialists and proud members of Master Painters New Zealand. As a result, homeowners, interior and spatial designers, and high-end property managers trust Wall Treats for projects where standards are non‑negotiable.
About - the Wall Treats standard
Since 2003, Wall Treats Master Painters has delivered award-winning residential painting to homeowners of Auckland's most treasured home. However, “premium” isn’t a label when it comes to properties that demand a high finish. It’s the detail behind the scenes of your painting project: assessment, substrate-first preparation, correct product selection, and a finish that protects what came before.
Owner-led, no outsourcing: Daniel Zapata (co-owner and registered Master Painter) leads every job on-site. So the standard doesn’t drift halfway through the project, and the finish isn’t handed off to subcontractors.
Some homes can be replaced. Heritage homes can’t. When original timber, plasterwork, joinery, and proportion are damaged or eroded. They rarely come back the same. That’s why Wall Treats sees painting as more than a cosmetic service: it’s custodianship.
Wall Treats exists to collaborate with homeowners whose homes are a memoir of their lives: the people they love, the causes they support, the places they’ve been, and the memories still to create. Working on your project is more about stewardship to us: calm project leadership and artisan wall treatment built to endure.
This belief is also personal. Ashley grew up with Singapore’s shophouses - layered heritage buildings shaped by climate resilience and craft detail, where the past lives inside the present. One tradition that captures this is Jian Nian (剪捻): a porcelain shard mosaic craft used for decorative panels and friezes, carrying cultural motifs and storytelling through meticulous detail.
Meanwhile, Daniel brings a different heritage lens. With Peruvian roots and an Inca endurance influence, his worldview is precision, patience, and durability. Craft that withstands time and climate variance. It’s where “longevity” becomes more than a word. It becomes a standard.
Together, that’s why Wall Treats works the way it does: treating walls with diagnosis, preparation, sequencing, quality control, and communication that protects standard, budget, and legacy - so the result feels calm, and the finish is so seamless it disappears.

What our clients say...
"We are very happy with the job that Wall Treats Master Painters did for us recently. Our house is a California bungalow, with plenty of charm and character but also a few signs of age. Daniel and his team were very hard-working and did an excellent job transforming the exterior. Ashley was very efficient and helpful as the project manager. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone else looking for high-quality work".

Wall Treats partners with professionals who need a painter that treats the wall properly: substrate-first preparation, disciplined sequencing, precise finishes under natural light, and proactive communication from first site visit to final walkthrough.
Owner-led, no outsourcing: Daniel Zapata (registered Master Painter and co-owner) leads every job on-site. Ashley Wong manages the client experience and programme so decisions, approvals, and timelines stay clear.
How partnering works
To keep projects smooth and protect design intent, Wall Treats can support you with:
Early involvement to confirm scope, sequencing, and access constraints.
Specification-friendly planning: clear product systems, sheen consistency, and finish expectations.
Site discipline: tidy handovers, respectful protection of surfaces, and predictable communication.
Documentation: written proposals and agreed variations before work proceeds.
If you’d like to partner on an upcoming project, start with a short site visit or briefing call.
Who works for us?
When someone is invited into your home, the finish is only part of the decision. Naturally, your bigger question is trust: who will be on-site, how the work will be managed, and whether the standard will hold from day one to final walkthrough.
